JOB DESCRIPTION

The SAP Security and Controls Analyst is primarily responsible for the design, build, test and implementation of security solutions that enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives, while providing proper control. This position works directly with functional analysts, project team members, and business users to translate functional requirements into technical specifications, which are further utilized to facilitate the full implementation life cycle. As a key member of the security team, the associate will have the opportunity to learn many aspects of the business while providing end user support in all SAP production and non-production environments. The ability to analyze, design, test and implement security controls, which enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives, is critical to the success of this role.


RESPONSIBILITY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyze business processes and user needs and perform functional security configuration and maintenance tasks for SAP ECC, BW/BI, BEX Portal, Business Objects, HANA Database, BPC, CRM, PROS, Solution Manager, and GRC systems according to operational and business needs.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDES:

Work with the business and project teams in developing functional specifications as related to security requirements

Deliver quality solutions that meet both business and functional requirements

Creation, modification and utilization of master, derived, simple, and composite roles where applicable within the SAP Module

Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights

Provide production support of existing security roles and functions

Triage issues for role authorizations and associated transactions

Develop procedures, processes and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable

Work within change management guidelines ensuring all transports moved into production  to ensure system integrity

Prepare test user IDs in order to facilitate business/project user testing in non-production environments

Follow policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Change Control, project management methodology, and SOX controls

Create and maintain detailed security documentation, policies & procedures including segregation of duties

Develop and drive the implementation of security best practices and standards

Plan and manage project deliverables, responsible for the timely completion of assigned tasks

Perform GRC configuration and use GRC tools in the creation and maintenance of security roles

Provide on-call support on a rotating basis

Coordinate and assist in development and execution of system conversions

Provide weekend support when required to support acquisitions and projects

Interact with users from various functional areas (order management, supply chain, finance, etc.)

Interaction with technical resources to define technical requirements.

REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business, or equivalent work experience

  • SAP technical certifications a plus

  • 2– 4 years’ experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and above security design

  • Experience with SAP GRC 10.x and above for implementation and support

  • Experience with BW/BI Security

  • Experience with Business Objects, HANA studio, and BPC security

  • Experience working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications for SAP ECC 6.0(SCM, FI/CO, OM)

  • One to Three full life cycle SAP Implementations a plus

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new applications and software

  • Ability to work with teams or independently

  • Understanding of business processes related to wholesale distribution and retail a plus

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Demonstrated organization, time management, and project estimating skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and closure

  • Must be committed to provide a high level of customer service  

  • Demonstrates the highest standards of professional behavior in dealing with clients, colleagues and staff

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
